THE SHELL JUDO CLUB
CLUB HISTORY
The Shell Judo Club came into being around the late 1950's and has been run at the Whitby Sports and Social Club (formerly the Shell Club) in Ellesmere Port since this time.

The Club has been involved with a number of national organisations in this time but is now part of the legislative body; Bushido Judo Kwai which continues to uphold the high standards of teaching and training that have always been maintained at the Club. Not just with Judo but giving students skills which, they can use in everyday life; in other words, Judo is not just a sport but a way of self-awareness and life.

​The Club has always been open to all and has had the privilege of helping students with autism learn Judo and benefit from the skills and experiences that the art can provide.

The Whitby Sports & Social Club (formerly The Shell Club) offers excellent training facilities with one of the best mat areas in the Northwest of England and North Wales.
